KEEPER WARS

Attempts on goal may come from a punt, throw, roll, dropkick, or shot from the ground. 

Just like in a normal game, the goalkeeper must distribute within 6 seconds of receiving the ball and has unlimited steps within his/her area of the field. 

A goalkeeper is not allowed to exit his/her area unless retrieving football. 

If a successful save is made, play continues without hesitation or pause from the defending goalkeeper.

A goal is awarded when the entire ball crosses the goal line, then play is restarted by the goalkeeper who conceded. 

In the event of shot going out of bounds the goalkeeper who was defending restarts the game. THERE IS NO REBOUNDS

All games are two halves–2mins–with an minimum 30 second break between halves to change sides & take drink.

There will be an minimum 6 footballs per pitch but only one is allowed in play at one time. 

Each goalkeeper may have ‘ball fetchers’ to recover stray footballs and place to the sides of the goals. It is not the referees duty to fetch footballs during play. 

Goalkeepers must retrieve footballs from goal line and cannot be returned from sideline.

No other players are allowed onto the pitch or to interfere during play. 

Winners will be the keeper who has scored most goals with in time limit. 

During group games the following format will take place 3pts = win,1pt = draw 

In the event of keepers tying on points, the following will be used to confirm the winner: 

1. Goal difference, 2. Goals Scored, 3. Head to Head, 4 Coin toss.

Knockout rounds will be decided per age group

Any knockout games resulting in a draw, will continue play for an extra minute. If still no winner then a penalty shootout with 3 kicks per keeper to decide winner taken from half way line spot. (Sudden Death kicks followed).

THE REFEREE’S DECISION IS FINAL, please respect all officials and decisions made as they have given their time to make sure this event can happen. 

Each age group finalist will receive a trophy.

THERE IS NO PLANNED LUNCH BREAK BUT REFEREE’S MAY CALL A BREAK IF WISHES AND WILL INSTRUCT PITCH IF DOING SO.

ANY BREAKS BETWEEN GAMES IS FOR REFEREES TO REPORT SCORES BACK FOR TABLE UPDATES AND WATER BREAKS.

IF REQUIRED ANOTHER REFEREE MAY TAKE OVER GAMES DURING BREAKS 

PLEASE DO NOT DISTRACT REFEREES DURING GAMES AND KEEP DISTANCE AT ALL TIMES
